The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the final results for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 on April 22, 2025. This announcement marks the culmination of a rigorous selection process that began with the Prelims in June 2024, followed by the Mains in September 2024, and concluded with the Personality Tests (Interviews) from January to April 2025.

A total of 1,143 candidates have been recommended for various civil services positions, including:​

  • Indian Administrative Service (IAS): 180 candidates
  • Indian Police Service (IPS): 200 candidates
  • Indian Foreign Service (IFS): 37 candidates
  • Central Services Group ‘A’: 613 candidates
  • Central Services Group ‘B’: 113 candidates​

These selections are based on the candidates’ performance across all stages of the examination. ​

The category-wise distribution of selected candidates is as follows:

  • General (UR): 474 candidates
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 115 candidates
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 303 candidates
  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 165 candidates
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 86 candidates​
